Poll: Most Americans Oppose Gay Marriage

And the point is?

I assume they are insinuating that we should go by polls to determine who in society is equal in terms of what rights different citizens receive.

What a fucked up way to look at people. You are equal or you are not. It's that simple.

On a different topic, we did yard work all day long. God am I sore. I have muscles I didn't even know I had.

Hi, guys. The word on Boston radio this AM (see Designerblog for a full account) is that officials in Provencetown have declared they will NOT honor any attempt by the Governor to enforce the obsolete 1913 law against granting marriage licenses to out-of-state couples. You may well be able to get married here after all!

Polls give the average citizen the impression that their opinions really matter! No civil rights issues should be decided by election.
