Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart Threatens To Kill Gays

| | Comments (6)

I'm trying to find the correct name for it ... this utter absolute, asinine, idiotic stupidity of men marrying men. ... I've never seen a man in my life I wanted to marry. And I'm gonna be blunt and plain; if one ever looks at me like that, I'm gonna kill him and tell God he died. - Evangelist Jimmy Swaggert

Does not surprise me. I lived there for quite a bit of my life.

They approved a ban on marriage by 78%.

This state unfortunately has a long way to go.

That has to be the sickest thing I have heard, or read in awhile.

I understand they are supposedly Christians, but that's hate speech, pure and simple. Not only hate speech, but probably some of the most biggotest (Is that even a word) hate speech I have heard in awhile.

Of course, majority of those TV evangelists have their own religions, the religion of Me.

The man obviously has many demons. The thing I find most disturbing in all of this is what followed after he said that. This is what the article said:

"The remarks were met with applause from his congregation."

They are applauding the killing of a gay man. How sick is that?

Well... I can't recall, off hand, where Jesus threatened to kill anybody. Looks like that statement came from 'the pit of hell', certainly not from "the love of Jesus".

Joe Perez said:

"If one of you ever look at me like that ..." As if there were legions of gay men ready to say, "Oh yeah, baby. I look at that hunky Swaggert body, those lips, those swarthy shoulders, that manly receding hairline and I want MARRIAGE. Oh yeah, baby bring it on."

Hmmm... Now if I go outside their church in New Orleans with a sign that say "If one of you ever look at me like that, I'm going to kill you and tell god you died."... Would I be arrested?

The truth is Swaggert and Phelps help our cause.
