Active U.S. Hate Groups in 2004

| | Comments (7)

An interesting map showing the hate groups in the United States, broken down by Black Separatist, Christian Identity, Ku Klux Klan, Neo-Confederate, Neo-Nazi, Other, and Racist Skinhead.

A hate group may just be in your own back yard. I know I was surprised.

I noticed the Jewish Defense League is characterized as a hate group...

These groups don't mean anything. As far as I'm concerned add every baptist and evangelical church as a dot on this map.

Bear in mind that many of those groups they identify may serve as a nexus for other branches that have a further reach. Many an activist group (whether hate group or peace group) will go to other locations to spread their message. The SPLC is a highly regarded organization with an excellent track record. That being said, I’m sure they rely on individuals to inform them of when they may have missed a hate group.

Well, SOME of us are nice.

Others have, uh, "issues".

There was a bunch of neo-nazi's that were handing out cd's to kids in school's around west virginia a couple of months ago,it was stopped when the teachers and principle found out about it,they try to recruit them as young as possible when there minds are still not matured enough,so they can brain wash them easier,it is scary to think they are out there and wanting to cause harm to innocent people just for having a certain beleif or the color of there skin or for being gay,but attacks happen everyday most we hear nothing about, most people never report it.

They missed a bunch of neo-Nazi and skinhead groups here on California's Central Coast. It makes me wonder how accurate the rest of the map is.
