On Vacation
I haven’t been writing much lately because we are on vacation up in Maine this week. We have been in Ogunquit on the coast for the last few days, and are on our way up to the Bath, Maine area for the rest of the week.
I’ve made it a point NOT to surf the Internet that much to see what’s going on (other than weather conditions). I’ve decided that I don’t want to be bothered right now with it. Although, I did get an email about the good people who now want to water down the Connecticut Civil Unions bill (to exclude religious institutions from honoring it) - before the bill even becomes law. I felt I had to say something about that. People still amaze me, and most of the time, not for the better.
But I’m not going to let that dampen my spirits. I’ve shut them out this week and we are enjoying the awesome beauty of this place.
I’m sure I’ll be writing more next week, after I get home.

I ran across your Web site while reading about Diane Schroer.
I've always felt a little odd reading people's blogs -- as if I'm digging through the medecine cabinet of a stranger. I'm glad I ran across your site today, though.
I get up in arms every time I hear or read about the insane way some people seem to think it's their job to decide what is and isn't good for others.
I find that most of the time, people judging others ought to take a look into their own closets.
At any rate. It has been fun to read a little about the two of you and know that not everyone in the world is a freaking busy-body a**hole.
Have a great vacation and enjoy every moment of life.
Keep trying to make things better, if not for yourself, then for those that come after you.

It's a good idea to keep away from the media etc. while on vacation. Why ruin what should be a relaxing time by getting all worked up over the same old stuff?
