Massachusetts - 1,000th gay couple takes out marriage papers

The press and selectmen were summoned to town hall at 1 p.m. Friday to stand witness as John Culver and Peter Warnock took out papers from Town Clerk Doug Johnstone to get married. They were the 1,000th couple to do so since gay marriage became legal a year ago April. (source)
