DeLay was the main push in last year’s proposed amendment to the US Constitution to ban same-sex marriage. The measure failed in the House but DeLay said the issue was far from dead. “We will come back and come back until this is passed,” he said. (source)
Well, I suppose he was the main push for the amendment against gay marriage, and I suppose someone may bring it up again, if the Republicans think it will work again to get voters to the polls, but I don’t think it will be Mr. Delay doing the driving.
I wonder how many more corrupt politicians from the GOP will fall from this. I can’t wait to find out.

Keep your hope up Alexis. A lot of my life has been really difficult. But now things are so much better. And, they will continue to get better with time.
I bet that by the time you are my age, you will be able to get married in many states, they won't be able to fire you for being lesbian, and you will have equality. Don't let bigoted people define you, or what your life can and will become.

i think it is very wrong to descriminate someone on their sexual prefrence. its their life to live if they want to go to hell if they think its a sin or not let them be it aint you so dont woory bout it.
i personally dont see the problem.
im a 15 year old lesbian and i love my life i am happy with my girlfriend and i dont care what no one thinks.if this is a free country why does stuff like this still happen?
this whole free country stuff is a bunch of bull.
it sucks having to be in the closet because we know that society doesnt accept lesbian/gay people.
At least one of them has been taken down for the moment.
I say start at the top and work their way down the line untill all of the crooks are removed from office,washington will be empty,but look at the money we can save.
Tom delay or not, the anti-gay marriage amendment is dead... unless ofcourse California, Washington, or some other state's court repeats Massachusetts... I'm not sure it would be smart for that to happen right now, but I am looking forward to it!
