Chihuly Exhibit at the New York Botanical Garden
On Tuesday, October 10, 2006, we went to the Chihuly Exhibit at the New York Botanical Garden. I really didn’t know what to expect. We were going at the suggestion of our guests, Mary and Sandra. I’m so happy that I made the effort to go to this spectacular exhibit. Below is the write-up of this exhibit from the New York Botanical Garden website, followed by a few photos I took, and a link to all the photos we took while there.
A breathtaking stage is set for a breathtaking show. Renowned artist Dale Chihuly brings his spectacular glass sculpture to The New York Botanical Garden this summer in a stunning exhibition designed specifically for the Garden’s collections and vistas.
Art meets nature in his dramatically beautiful pieces, which have enthralled audiences around the world. The historic Enid A. Haupt Conservatory—America’s premier glasshouse—and other Garden landscapes provide a glorious setting for Chihuly’s organic shapes in brilliant colors. (NY Botanical Garden)

I've never been to either Martha's Vineyard or Chatham. They both look very nice to me. As for the food, it is amazing. I hardly ever have lobster though. It seems that I've grown to an age where it's just too rich for me.
Thanks for showing your photos, as an English woman they show me things that I will probably never see myself. I love that photo of the small town with the old fashioned car, reminds me of the old American films I have seen. I would love to go to New England. Is that where Martha's vineyard is and some place called Chatham? (now thats an English Navy town) I have heard that the food there is amazing lots of lobsters ect my favourite.
How wonderful! Thanks for sharing these.
Thanks DJ. I love the way you got so many nice close ups of some of the exhibits. We were not able to get anywhere near that close in NYC. You could only see them from ten or so feet away.
Wow your pictures turned out very nice. I saw a Chihuly exhibit in Missouri a few months ago and was impressed. I have a few photos if you want to check them out.
