Life Goes On

| | Comments (5)

It’s been a really busy and intense week at work. Some emotional things (at work) going on also, but I can’t talk about that. Suffice to say, it’s a new week, and I had a nice weekend, starting with being able to sleep until 9:00 Saturday morning.

My last entry was a wake-up call for me. I always knew that there were nut cases out there, and over time many of them have voiced their dislike for gays and the like. I don’t know one gay person alive who hasn’t suffered verbal or physical abuse in their lifetime at the hands of intolerant people. The thing that is hard to take is when some individual wants you dead. But, it would be naive of me to think that many of the people who beat up gay people wouldn’t go that extra step, if they thought they could legally get away with it.

At any rate, I’m putting this behind me. I’ve filed a report and the police said that if this individual does this again, they will pursue it through the channels. Apparently, it involves a lot of red tape -- getting a warrant for Comcast to release the user’s information, and involving the police in his area. I’m fine with that as long as the nut case leave me the hell alone.

We are getting ready for a vacation to Olympic National Park in Washington State. It should be a lot of fun and an opportunity for some great photography. We will start our vacation in one of our favorite cities, Seattle.

And as long as I’m talking about photography, I have finally posted Kent’s photos of his trip to Iceland online. Here’s one of them. Click on the link below to see the entire set.

Happy Monday!

Thanks Carla. We are getting excited about our visit to Seattle and Olympic National Park. We plan to take day trips all over the place. And I understand that there are some great restaurants around our hotel. We are staying at the Watertown Hotel. Should be fun.

Thank you for the compliment on the photos Jeff. We do realize that we are quite lucky to be able to do a bit of traveling. We don't take it for granted. I'm just happy that I have the opportunity to learn the art of photography and to go places where I can hopefully capture the spirit of the place.

Viking politics, is what I heard. I guess Eric the Red wanted Greenland to sound more attractive than it was.

I envy you and Kent being able to travel as you do. I don't know that I will ever get to see Europe, but the pictures you two take are a wonderful glimpse.

My wife is working hard to allow us to take a vacation this year. It probably won't be out of the state, but then again California is huge, and there is a lot to see here. My parents took us kids all over the state over the course of several summer vacations. It's those trips that inspire me to show my wife parts California she has never seen, such as the Winchester Mystery House, and the wine country.

Northern California has a different history than Southern California, and I think she would be surprised to see that it is almost a completely different state up there.

Hello Bill and Kent, enjoy your stay in Washington State. I'm the girl from Emmett, if you don't remember. In fact when I told my husband that you responded to the guest book note I wrote, he said,"tell them to come here, Washington is very acceptable of gays" I love it here in Seattle, I've lived here longer than I ever lived in Idaho. Just wanted to say hi again.

On your previous post....there are so many weirdo's out there and hopefully this was just some random nutcase that hopefully won't show up again.

Be well and I hope it doesn't rain the whole time you are here.

Carla

Well, there is if you go farther north. What I find weird is that GREENland has more ice than ICEland. Go figure.

Breathtaking pictures. There's hardly any ice on Iceland! ;)
