Sedona, Arizona
We left Monument Valley yesterday and are now in Sedona, Arizona. We've been here before, but only passing through. This time, we are going to stay for a few days and look around a bit more.
Monument Valley was an awesome experience. I mean, you have these amazing rock monoliths littering the valley here and there, and that is amazing enough. I know, just writing about it really doesn't do it justice, and photos will follow. But what really made the trip to Monument Valley so nice was that included in the package we got was a full day tour of the valley. And I mean, a full tour. They took us places that we wouldn't have been allowed to go to (or find) because it was on the Navajo Reservation. We saw ruins from 500 a.d. which were very fascinating. And, vistas that we would never have seen before. All this courtesy of our guide, "Tom", who was a Navajo Indian (very cool).
Of course, on each trip, I tracked our where abouts with our GPS, and geo-tagged each photo. I'll post them later when I have a bit of time when I get home. I was hoping to post a few here just to give you a feel for the trip, but for some reason, the wireless setup in this hotel we are staying in is messes up a bit (very frustrating). I'm able to get to my site to make this entry, but if I try to go to Google.com, it can't connect to the server. I tried to explain to the desk clerk that perhaps they should reset their wireless router, but she had no idea what that was. So, I'll live with it.
Today, we are just going to drive around Sedona Canyon. Like I said, we've been here before and took a few photos. I'd give you the link to the Flickr album, but I can't seem to get to Flickr.com either.

I hope you both are having a great time. I have said it before, but I love the desert. My dad used to take my brother and me to the desert to see ghost towns etc., and we always had a great time. I especially loved the night sky in the desert. I have never seen so many stars in my life. I hope to return someday when I have some time, but for now I will just have to go take a peek at your pictures.
Have a great trip, and be safe!
